H-1B Visas available for Fiscal Year 2010

As of August 7, 2009, approximately 44,900 H-1B cap-subject petitions and approximately 20,000 petitions qualifying for the advanced degree cap exemption have been filed.

H1B VisaUSCIS is currently accepting H-2 petitions for the 2nd half of fiscal year 2009 AND the 1st half of fiscal year 2010.  On August 6, 2009 USCIS announced that it has reopened the H-2B filing period for fiscal year 2009.  Such petitions must be filed and adjudicated by September 30, 2009, the end of the 2009 fiscal year.
