Beware of DV Lottery Scams

The DV-2011 green card lottery opened earlier this month and it's a very exciting time for potential immigrants to win a chance to obtain a coveted green card.  While you have until the end of November to enter, beware of potential impostor or fraudulent websites, emails or print advertisements.

Millions of people will be entering the free drawing hoping to be one of the lucky 50,000 winners.  While there are many legitimate businesses that can help move you through this process, watch out for those that attempt to mislead or scam innocent people out of their money.

Check out the State Department's Fraud Warning to help you avoid becoming a victim.
